![]() ![]() Greenish close-up with obligatory terrain map mode (why!?), Useless baronies on the map (still don't know what is the point of this), ![]() And we have nothing of this in CK3: just a few buildings and abstract "development".Ĭonfusing UI (I have already thousands of unnecessary clicks during my 300 hours in the game), It took hundreds of years of constant focus, protection from sieges, and gold spending. There are not many more satisfying (for me at least) things in any of Paradox games than to bring starting 2-barony county to 7 barony metropolis with top tech, expanded hospital, and full of powerful buildings at the end of the game. Kingdom building is not about map painting: it is about slowly improving barren land You start with to make it the best in the world. there is no "kingdom building" element to the game. CK3 has none of it, to the point that when I want to check new Mon culture I just create Mon character in Moravia because frankly why not.ģ. The game offered different playthroughs with different mechanics, characters, and flavors. CK2 for the most part was: there were long-time event chains, many historical-based special events, even supernatural ones for those of us who liked this kind of thing. Or maybe we will just see CK4 next year?Ģ. I believe that the CK2 approach to start clearly with Christian Europe and only then expand with different cultures/ways of play worked MUCH better if we consider the supposed longevity of the game. Tribes, Muslims, Indians, Mongols - all play the same. I have at least three big problems with the game:ġ.
